Identifying Contributions for the Evaluation of Cloud Services in State Entities

Cloud computing is becoming an important tool that is offering multiple opportunities to state entities. However, this paradigm can also impose constraints and increase risk to this kind of institutions. For this reason, it is necessary for the entities in the state sector to assess cloud services before making the decision of adopting them. In this context, this work presents a review to identify what are the main contributions made in the research literature to carry out such assessment. The objective is to provide and overview of this research area and help practitioners to implement new guidelines to evaluate cloud services and make the best decisions when adopting them.
